KLM - Your guarantee for a great journey

klm747.jpg

Flights to the Dutch Caribbean, from the UK and Ireland, are via Amsterdam, with KLM.

When travelling with KLM, you are flying with one of the best, and this allows you to relax and truly enjoy your well-deserved holiday.

KLM fly from a number of regional UK airports.
Your luggage can be checked all the way to the Caribbean.

If you're a member of the Flying Blue programme, the 'miles' flown on your holiday trip will count towards your overall balance.
Onboard a KLM flight drinks are free of charge and the quality of the meals is, judging by our cutomers' reactions, very good indeed. On intercontinental flights, KLM have a number of special meal options. 14 different meals available ranging from vegetarian and cholesterol-reduced to kosher and low-salt.  You can request special meals with us up to 48 hours before departure.

Check-in

Flights from the UK to Amsterdam to make your connection for your flight to the Caribbean, are considered European flights, and so the check-in is just one hour. Obviously we recommend leaving a margin of error - one hour would be the minimum.

It is possible to check-in online up to 30 hours before departure.

For example if your departure is 19:00 on Friday - the earliest you can check-in online is 13:00 on Thursday, the day before.

You only require the booking code - which we will give you with your vouchers etc - and your last name.

If you check-in online and have an extra dive bag ( see Luggage ) you will need to go to the desk.

If you are within the standard luggage allowances - you can use a drop off point to tag your own luggage - and proceed to the security checks.

Transfers

KLM fly from Hall 2 at Schiphol (Amsterdam) Airport.
The airport has Halls 1 , 2 and 3 - which are not three separate buildings but really one large crescent-moon shaped building. naturally Hall 2 is the central section.

The arrival and departure piers are arranged along long "spokes" than fan out from the centre of the terminal.

KLM usually arrive on piers D or E - and transfer is very easy. You will be advised of your departure gate from Schiphol in the UK. Once you have arrived onto one of the piers of the airport,  follow the signs to your departure gate. If you have not been advised, numerous screens in the airport will show your departure gate. There are rolling walk-ways - and so you will not actually walk very far !

If you require assistance you should advise us, and we can organise that with the airline.

KLM recommend a minimum of 40 minutes for transfer. You will personally make the transfer in around 10 minutes. But a little more time will be needed for your luggage !

We never book connecting flights with less than one hour for the transfer. Often it is 2 or 3 hours, which is perfect. Not too long to wait  - but long enough to allow for any small delays on the flight from the UK or during transfer.

This takes all the stress out of making the connection.
