Bonaire Flamingo airport is - in keeping with the island - very small. Bonaire has around 60,000 visitors each year, the average attendance at a major premier league football match ! Also the flights to Bonaire travel on to Quito, Ecuador.
Consequently, few people "get off" on Bonaire and getting through the airport is quick and easy. Most accommodation is within 10 minutes of the airport - and so, from landing to relaxing (or jumping in the ocean !) is usually less than one hour.
You will be met at the airport if you have arranged a transfer with us. This will either be with your resort's transfer system or with Tropical Travel - a reliable company that we have used for many years.
Tropical Travel also run sightseeing tours of Bonaire, an easy and enjoyable way to see the island's natural glory.
If you have arranged to collect your hire vehicle at the airport, the hire company, Total, has a small shuttle bus which takes you the 200 metres to their office !
The terminal bulding is very small, with very few people around and finding your transfer or the shuttle bus will not be a problem.
There are taxis at the airport, but in typical Bonairean style, they will not leap out of their cabs and hassle you. Bonaireans never do that ! If you want something, like a cab for example, you have to ask. Our experience of the taxi drivers is excellent, often helping guests above and beyond the call of duty.
