Location
The Galapagos are on the equator, 600 miles west of Ecuador.

Climate
There are two main seasons in the Galapagos.
January to June is known as the wet/hot season with winds from the southeast.
July to December is the dry/cooler or garua season, when winds from the east make for calmer seas. In April, air and water temperatures begin to cool. The strongest trade winds and coolest temperatures, ranging from 60º to 79ºF  (16º to 26ºC), are usually around late September. The air and water temperature on Galapagos is very dependent on the location and time of year.

Electricity
Mainland Ecuador uses 110 volts, 60 cycles, AC, same as the U.S.  All boats use both 110 and 220 volts.
