Morena

Built in 2009, the Morena resort is a super new eco-resort on the beautiful Jan Thiel Bay. The Morena resort has luxury villas and apartments with a typical Caribbean atmosphere. The modern villas and apartments are high quality and designed to be refreshingly cool.

The interiors are tastefully and thoughtfully fitted out with "fair trade" materials.The Morena Resort is located on the popular Jan Thiel Beach, just 400 metres from the Caribbean Sea, a lovely soft sand beach where you can relax and sunbathe. The snorkeling in the bay is superb - and there is a dive centre on the beach. Jan Thiel is home to several famous dive sites.

On the beach is the Zanzibar, and excellent restaurant for snacks, drinks and some great meals. Within ten minutes you are in the historic centre of Willemstad. 

Travelife Sustainability System is a worldwide independent evaluation system in the field of sustainability. The system audits and evaluates the care resorts/hotels have for their employees, the local community and the environment. Energy conservation, water and waste management, working conditions and relationships with the local community are all carefully inspected.

Travelife visited 16 resorts/hotels in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, of which 5 received awards ranging from bronze to gold. Morena Resort was awarded a gold award .

Azul Villas have three air conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living room with a fully equipped open kitchen. . flat screen TV, telephone, safe, iron and ironing board, internet, spacious veranda with dining table, lounge area and views of the botanical garden. The villa also has a large wooden, "floating" wooden veranda which creates a unique tropical feeling.

Aura Apartments are luxurious, attractively furnished and spacious two-bedroom apartments with a living room, bathroom, fully equipped open kitchen, two large air conditioned bedrooms, flat screen TV, telephone, safe, iron and ironing board, internet and a large veranda.
Two villas and two apartments are specially equipped and designed for guests who may have some disability.

Morena Resort is car-free. There is a central car park and free use of the resort carts to get to your apartment/villa. 

Mazzai Spa on the resort offers several therapies and treatments based on natural ingredients.
